Not all blessings are earth shattering miracles. Learn to appreciate the little things just as much as you do the big things. Every blessing should be appreciated and not taken for granted.

It’s easy to make a connection with someone that shares your interest; however, by opening yourself to people who are a different you will grant yourself with experiences that can help you grow in life.

I’m starting to recognize a frightening trend. Everyday I am exposed to more haters. It seems as if some people can not be happy for others. It has gotten so bad that people are hiding their blessings in fear of being hated or mistreated. There is truly no reason to have feelings of jealousy against anyone because you can be blessed too. However, if you are constantly worried about what others are doing or what they posses you may lose sight of your own blessing.

How many of you remember you parents saying if everybody jump of building are you going to jump too? A comment like that usual came when we wanted to do or wear something because everyone else was. As adults some of us still have not learned not to follow the majority just to fit in. It is okay to make decisions that differ from tour friends. When it comes down to it, you and you alone have to deal with the consequences of your choices.

DON’T GIVE UP YOUR POWER

You are the controller of your life. When you make major changes to your life simply because of the thoughts or opinions of others you are giving them power over your life. No matter what other people say or think about you, it is what you think of yourself that matters most. Don’t allow others, that may be out to get you, to dictate your choices and steal your power.

Today we celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. It is usually on this day that most people take the time to reflect on what Dr. King did and the sacrifices he made for all people. It is wonderful to honor him today; however, we should remember him and the dream he had for us everyday of our lives. By remembering Dr. King’s dream daily, I believe it will compel us to live better and treat our fellow man better.

As I go through my day I come across people that seem to be mad at the world. As I try to give them a reason to smile I wonder what is making them so angry. From what I can see they all had a reason to be happy. Even if there are several things in your life going wrong at one time, if you are alive you still have a reason to be happy. Having your loved ones, being employed, and having the ability to think on your own are all reasons to be happy. Try not to focus on the wrong and be thankful for the right.
